All Hallow's Eve [Chione/Open]

A boy stood watching the scattered groups of people, moving door-to-door to get their cheap candies, dressing up as the supernatural, being it witches to zombies, or anywhere in between. A strange habitual season of wonder and mystery. The occult and super-natural reigning supreme.

Though this particular boy wore a mask for a much different reason. His mask was black mummy-wraps, with dark-sunglasses, but with a dark black hooded, cloak.

Beneath it he smiled and took a stance, his arms poised as if to half-punch with the fists lining with his rib-cage. And with a shout of effort.

"HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" He cried.

In most cases, it was seem quite ridiculous, however, the effect that came from this cry of power, made it far more intimidating.

A surge of red energy swirled around him, and erupted, ripping through the air with a big gush of wind, from all sides. The ground erupting around him, cracking.

Suddenly, he stopped twisting around, beneath the mask he was smiling. And said aloud.

"All Hallow's Eve, a Night of Wonder and Magic." he toned evenly, mystically, mysterious. "The holiday once meant to condone spirits, and demons to rest for another year. But this year. They've awaken such a demon" he said.

And this time without the powering cry, the energy started swirling around him again, pushing the wind out from him, damaging the play equipment, and those close enough, flying back were they not prepared.

[Athena 'Shift' Logan]

Athena was nearly thrown into a tree by Chione's powerful winds, but she shifted into her human form quickly enough and instead landed to the left of most of the supernatual wind. It was magic made, that the shape shifter knew. She could have known that even without the red energy, because getting caught up in that wind - even in the ddies of it, much less the full blast - had made her fur...tingle. it was also ruffled now, but the heroine tried to push that thought aside - she could fix her fur when she took down whoever the idiot in the mummy mask was.

"Come on now Mummy, you're going to give kids nightmares.", Shift called to Chione tauntingly, trying to draw his attention towards her - and away from the kids and their parents who had wandered through the park. Paper ribbons - orange and black, of course, suiting the holiday - snapped in the air, paper lanterns shaped like ghosts swaying wildly in the otherwordly wind.

Serenity smiled at the dove beside her as they talked with an elder spirit who really hated this holiday. According to the spirit all people did was dress up in slutty costumes beg for candy and vandalize people's homes. She was just glad that she had stopped him from doing anything stupid to the small children who hadn't done anything wrong yet. Of course it helped that he had lived in England about two hundred years ago and had been part of the royal court. The prim and propper ones were much worse than the down and dirty spirits. "But you have watched the holiday progress and it hasn't been..."

"Little one," Serenity hated it when she was called that, "You can not change my mind. Look." he pointed at Athena and some idiotic ninja who was yattering on about spirits and magic.

Sorina rolled her eyes and grumbled under her breath, "Seriously? What is it five and there's already trouble." she squawked irritably.

Serenity narrowed her emerald eyes at the ninja at the other end of the park, "Nope only four fifty." she said and began to make her way over to Athena, she was not in a good mood this Halloween.[/size]

Mummy?" he said, ceasing the release of his energy, and turned to face the green one that was addressing him.

He cracked his fingers, stretching to a full height of 6 feet and 2 inches. The cloak gave him more of an omniscient presence, rather than an intimidating factor.

"You can't come up with a better name than that, now, Miss... Shift? Right?" He asked, his aura pushing out again, pushing the air around him into a breeze.

Serenity rolled her eyes and walked over to Shift's side, "So this bozo is haunting us this Halloween?" she asked with a roll of her eyes and put her arm out for Sorina to land on. This guy was standing here trying to look like an all powerful being and was seriously showing off. She really didn't have time for this and didn't want to have to deal with him. "What do you think?" she asked the dove who landed on her shoulder a second later.

Sorina rolled her eyes and ruffled her feathers so she was more comfortable. "Well forgetting Athena's name doesn't help him much." she said with a sarcastic tone to her voice.[/size]

"I don't think this guy could haunt his way out of a paper bag.", noted Shift dryly, loudly enough for said guy to hear her. It would probably get on Chiones' nerves, which was always helpful - anger corroded ones' judgment. Sometimes too much; sometimes, just enough. She knew that lesson from harsh experience. But right then, the teen kept her eyes on Chione. She didn't know if he was drunk, or high, or drunk and high. Any of that made him dangerous, especially with his powers.

"And yeah, mummy-boy, I'm Shift.", Athena added, now speaking directly to Chione, trying to judge his body language as she did so. It was hard, with his costume and the shadows in the night certainly didn't help. That, and the glowing red swirls had appeared again, casting things in a weird, light red light. His breeze made her short hair and fur wave slightly, and carried his scent to her sensitive nose. "'Course, if you do have a name, I'd be glad enough to have it - that way I know who I'm handing over to the police."

Hand me over to the police?" he asked, with a confused tone to his voice.

"Ok, so I bent a few poles at the playground." He admitted stretching his arms up, with a small moan. "And I don't think I need to tell the Titan's my name. It's not a need-to-know basis." And two bits of the red energy appeared on his hands, reaching a few inches out past his finger-tips. These super's were ready for a fight, so he'd better get ready himself.

Serenity sighed and glanced at the dove sitting comfortably on her shoulder, she really didn't understand why everyone was always fighting their way around things. All it did was make life difficult. She glanced into mummy or rather ninja dude's future to find out what his name was in her attempt to end the fight now, she was really to lazy to fight right now and the children and ghosts around them didn't need it, "Ok Chione there is no need to fight about this." she said with a sharp glance at Athena, she knew the temper that the pierced teen possessed and wasn't about to let this esclate with the number of five year old disney princesses around them.[/size]

Shift, in return, shot Serenity an annoyed look. Her temper wasn't that bad...And it wasn't like the parents wouldn't get their kids out of the way if she and Chione started fighting, right? Serenity was such a worry wart! But...well, eight year olds weren't very fast, and she'd feel guilty if one of them got hurt or something...The Titan sighed, rolled her eyes, and nodded as Serenity spoke.

"Right. So cool it, and leave these people alone, alright?" She paused, and - after a glance at Serenity - added in a more threatening tone, "Or else we'll settle this my way. Which you defineatly won't like."

I haven't hurt anyone have I? Nope, just knocked you back, I believe" he said, placing his hand on his chin, looking to the sky, apparently in thought, the mysterious wind, energy dissipating.

"So, your point is invalid, thus... Do I need to leave the people alone? No, Logical anomalies points to the fact that with your incorrect base, I do not have to leave these people alone" And with that, the red energy swirled on his hand, and he threw his hand out, the energy racing towards a person who had curiously stayed to watch, bad idea as the guy was lifted into the air clutching at his neck for air.
